England Squash has announced Alpha Bravo Construction as the official Title Sponsor of the British Junior Open (BJO) until 2029, beginning with the 2026 edition – the tournament’s historic 100th anniversary.
As the most prestigious junior squash tournament in the world, the BJO, delivered by England Squash, is a pivotal moment in the careers of many rising stars. In 2025, the BJO drew over 700 world-class junior competitors from more than 50 countries, reaffirming its status as the premier global stage for the world’s outstanding young squash players.

The centenary edition, taking place in January 2026, promises to be the most exciting yet, with new investment from Alpha Bravo Construction supporting the tournament’s next chapter.
Syed Shah, CEO of Alpha Bravo Construction, said:
“The BJO represents everything we value in sport and everyday life: excellence, dedication, and global community. By supporting this event, we are not only aligning our brand with a world-class competition but also investing in youth development, international unity, and the future of squash.
“It’s an opportunity to give back to the sport, inspire young athletes, and contribute meaningfully to a competition that promotes resilience, diversity, and achievement on a global stage.
“This sponsorship also reflects our strong belief in social responsibility – championing equal opportunities, healthy lifestyles, and access to sport for young people from all backgrounds as part of a broader commitment to giving back to the community.”
Shah brings not just corporate support but a personal connection to the sport. His own introduction to squash began in 2011 in Houston, Texas, playing with Jahanzeb, a local figure instrumental in the sport’s development. Over the following decade, Shah’s passion for squash grew, leading him to co-found the Houston Squash Club with a mission to promote healthy living among youth through sport.
“This partnership with the BJO is deeply personal,” added Shah. “Squash has been a defining part of my life. Supporting the centenary edition of one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments feels like a natural extension of the work we’ve been doing at a grassroots level – now elevated to the global stage.”
Mike Edwards, Tournament Director of the BJO commented:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alpha Bravo Construction as our new title sponsor. Their passion for excellence and community impact aligns perfectly with the ethos of the BJO.
“With their support, we look forward to delivering an unforgettable centenary edition in 2026 and elevating the tournament’s global stature over the next three years.”
Mark Williams, CEO of England Squash, added:
“This partnership marks an exciting new era for the BJO. As we approach its centenary, Alpha Bravo’s support will be instrumental in enhancing the player experience, growing the global reach of the event and reinforcing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of world–leading players.”
The 2026 British Junior Open will take place from 2-6 January and promises to be a landmark event for the sport, celebrating a century of junior squash excellence and setting the stage for the sport’s next generation to shine.
