Todd and Byrant to contest Dunlop Exhibition at BJO

Two of England’s biggest upcoming stars will do battle in a Dunlop exhibition match during the 2025 British Junior Open in Birmingham.

Sam Todd, the first male player ever to win all four age group titles at the British Junior Open, will play last year’s boys’ U19 finalist Jonah Bryant at 18.15 on 4th January at on the glass court at the University of Birmingham Sport and Fitness.

Yorkshireman Todd, 21, now fully recovered from a serious ankle injury and climbing the ranks again, is relishing a match-up with Sussex star Bryant, who after a stellar junior career has already amassed seven PSA titles by the age of just 19.

Todd, who’s last BJO title came in Nottingham in 2022, commented: “I’ve got some great memories from the British Junior Open as the first male player to win the title in four age groups. I’m looking forward to locking horns with Jonah in Birmingham and hopefully helping to inspire the next generation of players.”

Bryant, who finished runner-up in two back to back BJO U19 finals – to compatriot Finnlay Withington and Egyptian Mohamed Zakaria – added: “I’m looking forward to going head-to-head with Sam, who’s coming back strongly from his injury. I can’t believe it was only a year ago I was in my last BJO final, but it’ll be great to go back to Birmingham and perform on the glass court again.”
